The easy way to write clear and powerful pages that will rank high on Google.

Follow this format and you'll be amazed at how quick and easy it is to write pages for your website. You'll also have pages that are easy for a visitor to read and you'll end up with what I know you're really looking for

. . . pages that rank high on Google searches.

Here is all there is to it.

Step #1.

Start with a <h1>Headline with the most important benefit your site offers. Make it keyword-rich and with 17 or fewer words.</h1>

The main purpose of the headline is to draw the reader into the site. Headlines are 80% or more of your page. You can tweak the rest of the page until you are blue in the face and it probably won't help you much.

Write 10, 20 or even 100 headlines before you decide on the best one for a page. Use your second and third best as your sub-heads. Since 80% of the value, benefit and importance of your page is your headline, spend 80% or your time writing and rewriting your headlines.

Most people spend 2% of their time on the headline and 98% tweaking the content of the page. That's a BIG mistake. Let them keep doing that.

Step #2.

After the headline place a brief paragraph or two that expands on the headline. Repeat your keyword phrase that's in the headline one or more times. (Don't over do it. Make it easy to read with a good flow. Read it out loud and see how it sounds.)

Next, use a <h2>Sub-head on the same subject with the same or another keyword phrase</h2>.

And then add another short paragraph or two as before with keywords.

Repeat step 3 a few times and you will have a well-designed page.

One other thing. When you're finished, read just the headlines and sub-heads on your page and see if your message comes across. If not, you're missing most of your visitors because the majority will NOT read all of the text on your page. They will just scan the headlines.

Consider using bullets to create a list outlining your important points. This can take the place of one of your paragraphs. This makes your page easier to scan.

You can use color in some of your headlines and even in some of your paragraphs. Also make some of your keywords bold (but NOT on the first use of the keyword).

Be sure to have a clear call to action. What do you want the visitor to do . . . Buy something? Sign up for something? Go to another page?

Follow this simple format and you will find it easy to write and design your pages and they will be easy to read and will RANK HIGH ON GOOGLE SEARCHES.

One last point. Write a different html title tag for each page. Your title tag is not the same as your headline. Te words can be the same, but they are two different things.

Make sure your keyword phrases for that page are in the title tag, but don't just list keywords. Your title tag will likely be part of the Google description of your page. Make it compelling for someone to click on the Google description to go visit your page. What good is a high ranking if no one is compelled to click and go visit your page?
